Missions at Pinecrest

We are a mission-minded church. We participate in mission activities throughout the year such as:

    CHURCHWIDE MISSION PROJECTS

Prisoner Packets are distributed at Christmas through the SC Department of Corrections and South Carolina Baptist Convention. We are the collection site for Charleston Baptist Association each year.

Approved items from the SCDC:

  • One BLACK non-retractable pen (no wire clips, no other color)

  • One Junior Legal Writing Table or no larger than 5 1/2” (no wire-bound tablets)

  • One Adult Toothbrush (individually factory sealed, no multipacks)

  • TWO First Class #10 Stamp Embossed Envelopes (purchased from the Post Office - no enveloped with stamp attached)*

  • Two rolls of candy (LifeSavers, Mentos, Breath Savers type)

  • One 4 oz to 6 oz Bar of Soap (no travel size)

  • One 5.8 or larger Toothpaste (no travel size)

  • Place all items in a 1-gallon zipper bag

    *NOTE: If preferred, include $1.50 for the envelopes and WMU will purchase these for you at the Post Office

Operation Christmas Child boxes are collected each year in November. Shoeboxes and packing information available at the church.

BLESSING BOX

A Blessing Box is located in front of the church. You are invited to leave non-perishable food and other items for families in need.

Pinecrest observes “Sanctity of Life” emphasis each January with a Baby Bottle collection for the work of the Low Country Pregnancy Center.

Pinecrest Baptist Church supports missions around the world through missions giving:

  • Cooperative Program

  • Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions

  • Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions

  • Janie Chapman Offering for South Carolina Missions

    We also minister alongside Beth-Shiloh Messianic Jewish Church
